How it works

Three steps. One score.

Search the book. We build the playlist. You listen on whatever streaming app you already use.

01

Search your book

Type the title. We've already analysed the major ones, pacing, mood, time period, key scenes, chapter by chapter.

02

We compose the pairing

Pairings stitches together a track list that mirrors the book's emotional arc. Slow openings, tense middles, quiet ends.

03

Send it to your streaming app

One tap exports the playlist to Spotify, Apple Music, or wherever you already listen. Open the book, hit play, read.

A note from the founders

We made this for the way we wanted to read.

Every reader has had the moment, a chapter goes quiet, the room around you fades out, and the right music would have made it perfect. We kept making playlists by hand. They were never quite right.

So we built the thing. Pairings reads books the way a film composer reads a script: it watches for the dread before the door opens, the breath before the kiss, the long walk home. Then it scores it.

If reading is your favourite kind of quiet, we think you'll like it.
